The idea of a mobile fishing operation along the Madiera and Rio Negro Rivers of Brazil is not a new venture. In fact there are several “operators” in this region. But only the Captain Logan has committed itself to fish waters where you will see volume fishing and not just trophy hunting. Sure it’s nice to take a 20 pound plus peacock, but not at the expense of seeing less action. Plus you might enjoy taking some giant catfish, piranha or surubi. Whatever it takes will be the guide’s motto. The Captain Logan actually holds the brand new world record on peacock bass with a 28 pound monster caught in February of 2010. As they say, records are meant to be broken and you can be sure the guides on this boat will do everything possible to do just that !

The Accommodations:  Each room has its own private bath and plenty of comfort for a relaxing cruising vacation. The vessel is at the top of the list for food, service, staff and fishing guides. With a shallower draft and sleeker design, the Captain Logan yacht gets you further in the bush and much quicker. This fact allows you the angler to fish some waters that may otherwise be inaccessible or hard to reach. Your yacht will have an aft-deck for relaxation and a sun deck for incredible views and plenty of open air. The Fishing:  As mentioned above, the Captain Logan team is committed to putting you on the fish every day. They have assembled the best guides in the Amazon Basin and Trek can attest to this as they are virtually a list of who’s who in the region. Your goal each day is to catch some fish. 
Of course the main focus will be on the beautiful and aggressive peacock bass that is one of the most sought after fresh water fish in the world. Make no mistake about it, there are some real monster fish here, but we will not devote all of our time to just the trophy fish. A bunch of 15 pounders will wear you out too.

Each day the Captain Logan will arrive at a new locale and your local guide will throttle your 16 foot  shallow draft boat to his favorite spot and the rest will be up to you. Trek and the Captain Logan team are committed to an excellent, organized fishing vacation.

The Trip: This exciting trip will be nine days and eight nights. It begins with a morning, non-stop TAM flight from Miami to Manaus where you will spend this evening. The next morning, you fly to Barcelos and board your boat for the trip down river.  The next six days will be full fishing days. On the morning of the final day, we will make our way back to Manaus for  your afternoon flight back to Miami.
