New for the 2008 season, with the “Los Palomas Lodge” running almost non stop this year, We now have two first class lodges in Bolivia with the opening of the new “La Leyenda Lodge”. With Carlos Olano running his new first class lodge La Leyenda, it is sure to live up to its name “The Legend”. Los Palomas has also been upgraded to able to handle private groups 12 clients in single occupancy and up 24 in double rooms not to mention it’s new swimming pool that was an immediate hit this year.

BOLIVIA is one the best places in the world for incredibly high volume dove shooting, tremendous service, great food and first-rate lodging. The best part about Bolivia is that it is the closest high volume dove shooting available from the States. From Miami, Santa Cruz, Bolivia is only a 8.5 hours on the way down and a 6.5 hour non-stop day flight on the return. The best way to describe it is the high volume birds of Argentina meet the relaxing Latin flavor of Colombia.

A couple of years ago long time Trek Colombian dove guide Carlos Olano teamed up with fellow countryman Jorge Molinas to build the Las Palomas Lodge, right in the heart of the best shooting areas. When we say heart of the hunting area, the drives to the fields at certain times of the year is literally just out the front gate! For the rest of the season the drives are usually only 30-45 minutes from the lodge and at the most 60-75 minutes.

Carlos did an excellent job with our clients in Colombia for years before it was closed. Jorge was a two time Olympic skeet and trap shooter for Colombia. Both have proven over the past six years that they are more than willing to assist our clients in anyway they can. The service that Carlos and Jorge give our clients is second to none. For the 2008 season Carlos will be opening his brand new La Leyenda lodge, This will be our second lodge in Bolivia and will boast 6 air conditioned rooms with private baths, a gun room and plenty of lounging areas to rest up and enjoy liquid libations after the days hunts and for the warmer days the lodge even has a swimming pool.

The Spanish styled Las Palomas Lodge now has 12 guest rooms with an open-air courtyard in the middle and has everything from satellite big screen television, to an eight person whirlpool and a brand new swimming pool.

THE SHOOTING is extraordinary in Bolivia as the sky is literally darkened by the doves poring out of the roosts in the mornings and back into the roosts in the afternoons. In between Carlos and Jorge are sure to have found their favorite feeding fields where they fly all day long. When we say high volume, expect to be able to shoot well over 1000 shells a day if your shoulder can take it.

THE TRIP (3 Day hunt) is a six-day, five-night adventure with three days of great dove shooting and Four day hunts are also available. Each trip begins with an overnight direct flight on American Airlines to Santa Cruz. When you arrive in Santa Cruz you will be met by Carlos, Jorge or one of their staff, who will assist the group through customs before taking the group directly to your Lodge via private charter which is only a 20 minute flight away. You will have the rest of the morning to rest up from your trip down. After lunch and settling in, the group will then head out and hunt a roost this first afternoon. The next two days (or three days on a four day hunt) will be full hunting days. The last shooting day is a half day of shooting. After returning from the morning shoot, you will have lunch, pack up and return to Santa Cruz. We will have rooms reserved at a 5 star hotel for you to spend your last night so you will be close to airport for your 8:50am flight back to Miami the following morning.
