Its 40,000 acres are owned by Carlos and Carmen Olsen and has been in their family since before the 20th century. Meandering through the property flows the Malleo River and its willow lined banks are the stuff artist’s dream of when they open their canvas.

But by far the biggest asset of the river is its teeming rainbow and brown trout.  Whether you like wide open areas where the river turns slightly and creates quiet pools, or smaller sections where the water is swifter but the fish are less wary, the Malleo is an angler’s paradise. You will venture out each day to a new section of the river or you may wish to visit one of the many nearby rivers like the Alumine, Caleufu and the Chimehuin. All will hold rainbow and brown trout from 2-8 pounds. 

Your hosts will be none other than Ronnie and Gustavo Olsen who have fished these rivers all their lives and today have a reputation second to none. The staff of well trained, bilingual guides is some of the finest you will ever meet. Each guest will be well attended to as San Huberto accommodates 12 guests and offer only the finest mountain cuisine and accompanying wines.
