Collon Cura Lodge

Brown trout, Argentina

Few Places in the world reveal more images and dreams than Patagonia, and Trek has a program that will realize those dreams. Come stay in the finest Argentine Estancias and fish their Andean Waters.

Not too far off the highway heading southeast from San Martin you will come to an intimate lodge called Collon Cura on the river of its namesake. This small lodge has a total capacity of eight anglers and much of the same amenities as San Huberto Your hosts will be Nano and Malu Acuna who have done an excellent job in this capacity for many years. With its long and winding bends and steep banks that drop straight down, the Collon Cura offers a wonderful venue for a float trip. Using McKenzie boats the Olsen’s slowly work sections of the river and numbers of fish can be staggering. These float trips are a great way to cover lots of area and to see some of the wildlife like Red Stag and huge boar. Collon Cura is the perfect change of pace from the Malleo River. Anglers have sung high praises about fishing on the Collon Cura and the float trips are a big hit. We suggest the perfect itinerary to be four days at San Huberto and two in Collon Cura.
