Austria,Slovakia and Hungary Couples Trip

Here is an opportunity to see three of the most exciting countries in Central Europe in one incredible trip, a perfect venue for couples who want to share their hunting and cultural experiences. Our group will have tours to Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest along with some of the best pheasant hunting in all of Europe. Trip is limited to ten hunters and their companions.

This is your chance to take a vacation where much of the entire trip is already planned from the time you arrive until you depart. It’s a chance to meet and enjoy the company of a small group in one of the most beautiful and cultural settings in Europe. We promoted this wonderful journey last season with great results and expect to be fully committed after this original offering for 2011. Once again this will be a fully hosted trip by Trek.

The Trip- Our trip begins with an arrival into Budapest, Hungary. Our hosts Ben Mekie and his crew will clear your guns and transfer you to the Four Seasons Gresham Palace. A special welcome dinner is planned. Day 2 -A morning motorized tour of the local sights of Budapest is planned with visits to the Royal Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion and House of Parliament followed by lunch in Buda. Day 3- Our party will be transferred by private bus north towards Slovakia with a stop in the town of Visegrad and its historical castle on the Danube and proceed after lunch just across the border to the stately Chateau Bela for the next four nights. We have a welcome dinner planned this evening and will discuss the hunting and tours ahead. Days 4-6- We have contracted three days pheasant shooting for the hunters and private tours for non-hunters. Tours will consist of visits to cultural areas in Esztergom, a private tour of Chateau Bela and its famous vintage of Riesling wines on the property as well as a spa day of massages. Day 7- We will board our bus and head east towards Vienna where we have reserved the wonder Imperial Palace Hotel. Welcome dinner planned. Day 8- Group has a morning tour including visits to the St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Schönbrunn Palace, and Hero Square. Day 9- We transfer to Vienna airport for flight home.

The Hunting- The three days pheasant shooting in Slovakia will be conducted by Ben Mekie and his staff from Shooting in Slovakia. It will be driven shooting from assigned stands and Trek has contracted 200 pheasants per hunter for the three days. Each day we will hunt from a different handpicked estate which offers a variety of terrain and shooting opportunities.

The Accommodations- Trek has chosen deluxe accommodations throughout the trip with emphasis on location and quality of service. We have reserved deluxe rooms with upgrades available in Vienna, Budapest and Chateau Bela in Slovakia. King beds will be reserved upon availability unless otherwise noted.

Description- Trip Fee includes two nights hotel in Budapest with meals, four nights with meals at Chateau Bela, three days driven pheasant shooting from Bela with 200 birds per hunter and a personal loader, hunting permit, two nights hotel in Vienna, all tours, meals and private transfers as noted above. Dinners will include wines selected by your hosts.
Date- October 21-29, 2011. Date limited to ten hunters and a minimum of six.
