Honduras

Trek Safaris pioneered wing shooting in Honduras in 1973. Since that time we have sent tens of thousands of hunters to  this Central American country and continue to do so today. It’s a short American Airlines flight of two hours and 15 minutes from Miami to the nation’s capitol of Tegucigalpa. From there it’s a 90 minute bus ride down to our headquarters in Choluteca located in the southwest region of Honduras. Our accommodations are the beautiful Hotel Gualequeme, which features 30 rooms with A/C, swimming pool and all the amenities you can expect for a great hunting vacation.

Our guides take you on two exciting hunts each day and the action can be fast and furious on whitewing and mourning doves. Most drives to the hunting areas are 15-30 minutes and you’ll shoot dove in fields of sorghum, rice and corn, or pass shooting near roosts and over water holes.
