Los Suenos Marina and Resort

 On Costa Rica’s central Pacific coast lies Los Suenos Marina and Resort. This Marriott property is a combination of first class hotel, condominiums, numerous excellent restaurants, all the shopping one could imagine, private homes, a 200 slip marina and a championship 18 hole golf course, a veritable city unto itself. We at Trek have fished this region of Costa Rica for many years, but have not, until now, had one venue with all activities in one central area as we do at Los Suenos. The marina boasts the largest selection of deluxe fishing vessels in Costa Rica, you want a 65ft boat maxed out, easy to do, this place has them all.

 Although the Marriott hotel on the property is deluxe, we have found that most of our fishing clients prefer the privacy of the two and three bedroom condo’s. If after a full day on the water you feel like getting out on the town, no problem. The bustling town of Jaco Beach is just a 10 minute ride from your condo. Jaco has everything you desire from excellent restaurants to night spots and casino’s.

 You can certainly catch fish here throughout the year, the best bite is normally from December until May when in addition to sails and marlin, you can expect shots at dorado, tuna, wahoo as well as grouper, snapper and even roosterfish.

 We normally advertise our fishing trips to be fairly tight with a day in, a day out and three days of fishing, but for anglers staying at Los Suenos, we always run into folks saying that they want to extend their trip to play a few rounds of golf on the magnificent La Iguana course, or just enjoy a few of the tours that are readily available. Want to got white water rafting..ride a zip line through the rainforest canopy..hike into a 200ft waterfall ? Simple to do, all of this can be accomplished within minutes of the resort.
