Estancia Cortaderas was designed for the well traveled wingshooter who wants five star accommodations and high volume dove shooting mixed with excellent duck and perdiz hunting. Estancia Cortaderas is located 60 miles north of Parana City in the small town of Hernandarias. The lodge is situated high on a bluff overlooking the beautiful and mighty Parana River and was meticulously designed to take in majestic views of the Parana from many areas of the lodge. The architectural concept is a traditional colonial style, which is typical of the estancias here, and has all the features of a modern luxury hotel and provides unmatched levels of comfort not yet reached by other estancias. Cortaderas will provide eight single room accommodations with each having private baths, wireless internet, A/C and plenty of space. In addition to these amenities, the lodge also has a spa including massage appointments, steamroom, sauna and Jacuzzi.
The hunting is in the Parana/Entre Rios Region is nothing short of incredible. The Hernandarias area is known for its huge tracts of agriculture. Corn, soy beans, sorghum and wheat are all part of the landscape, and bring in the vast numbers of eared dove on a year round basis. During the months of April- September, the South American species of teal, shovelers, pintails and widgeon migrate into the many small lagoons and marshes that dot this Parana watershed. In addition to these species you’ll have a chance to hunt the beautiful and rare rosey-billed pochard. Starting May 1st thru August the perdiz season commences and these flighty tinamous are hunted over short haired pointers.
